Mykonos is one of the most cosmopolitan islands in Greece, known for its diverse and intense nightlife as evidenced by a vast number of bars and nightclubs. Mykonos is also known for its beaches. The island has an international airport, and is a frequent destination for cruise ships.

Mykonos is a grand example of unique Cycladic architecture set around a picturesque fishing-village bay. Totally whitewashed organic cube-like buildings fit closely together to form a kind of haphazard maze of narrow alley ways and streets.

The island of winds, as locals call it, is almost in the center of Cyclades islands and between Tinos and Naxos. It's the closest island to Delos. Boats from the port of Mykonos make trips to the sacred island of antiquity.

Mykonos is one of the first islands in Greece that made tourist worth of its natural pores, sun and sea. It started to spread its rumor in the middle 1950's when the first visitors started to arrive in the island.

In the middle 60's Mykonos was already the favourite travel destination of celebrities from the international jet set. During the 70's, 80's, 90's Mykonos became fashionable for every artist, politician or businessman of that time. Important personalities like Aristoteles Onasis, Maria Kallas, Tzaki Kennedy - Onasi, Brigit Bardo, Zan Moro and Grace Kelly are some of the celebrities that visited this Aegean island in regular bases.

The beaches of Mykonos

are famous for their golden sand and the crystalline waters as well as for their tourist and sport facilities and for the great fun they offer.

Super Paradise Beach is located 7 km south east of Chora, right next to Paradise Beach and is less organized than neighbouring Paradise and has beautiful crystalline waters and soft golden sand. Super Paradise is the most famous homosexual beach of Greece, attracting homos and heterosexuals from all over the world.

Paradise beach is a nice, flat beach and located 6 km south east of Chora, between Paranga Beach and Super Paradise Beach . There are a number of popular bars and the majority of people on the beach are youngish. Nudists also frequent this beach. The famous Cavo Paradiso which is a large complex working like a night club, containing a pool, a restaurant and a beach bar, is located on a hill, above the beach.
By night, Paradise Beach transforms into a huge club with music and people dancing on the sand and the rocks until dawn.

Elia is the longest sandy beach and located next to Elia, 10 km from the island’s capital. Beach is fully organized, offering a wide choice of taverns and bars as well as water sports facilities such as water-skiing, parasailing and windsurfing.

Paranga Beach is a combination of two sandy beaches separating by a headland and forming a large beach. The southern beach is the calmer, while the northern one is fully organised and lined by many taverns playing music. Located 6 kilometers from Chora.

Psarou Beach is located at 5 km from the island’s capital. Beach is famous for attracting celebrities from all over the world. It is a beautiful organized sandy beach with clear waters, attracting thousands of visitors during summer.

Platis Yialos is quite a nice, long beach with the golden sand and the wonderful turquoise crystalline waters, offering sun beds, umbrellas, water sports facilities and many restaurants and bars. You can enjoy a drink on the beach on loungers with seats and table. Located 5 km from Chora.

Lia beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mykonos with exotic waters and great environment. It is located in the south eastern edge of the island, 14 km from Chora, near Kalafatis. Lia is well organized with colorful umbrellas, sundecks and other useful facilities. Even though it is considered a rather quiet beach for the standards of Mykonos, Lia has been a favorite place for this reason. Its blue waters and the white sand create the ultimate combination for a swimming paradise. The beach is surrounded by rocks making it a great spot for diving and snorkeling. There are two restaurants nearby and a beach bar with various snacks and drinks. The hills that surround the beach are mostly bare and the natural landscape gives you the feeling of total freedom

Agia Anna is a beach located near the beach of Paraga. It is a very calm sandy beach. It is authentic in the way that it hasn't been defigurated but sun beds and umbrellas

Agios Ioannis has soft sand and crystalline blue waters. From there, one can enjoy an amazing view over the island of Delos. Agios Ioannis beach is a good place to get away from it all. Not too close to the town to be packed so a good place to enjoy a smallish beach.

Agios Sostis is among the quietest beaches of the island due to its location, a bit far from the popular southern beaches of Mykonos. This is an unspoiled area without any kind of amenities, a characteristic that creates to visitors a feeling of total freedom.

Kalo Livadi Beach is a large sandy beach with easy access and well marked in the south of the island. Here, you will meet some of the most stylish holidaymakers in the Cyclades. It is quite windy (the wattle fence on the left "protects" you somewhat), so try to go on a calm day. There are straw umbrellas, sun beds, beach service and a life-guard in a straw watch-tower.

Ftelia Beach. Quite a large sandy beach on the north side of Mykonos. The breeze that blows year round may mean no umbrellas or beach chairs, but it also means the annual international windserfing competition known as the Wave Tour, which attracts athletes and spectators from all over the world. This beach is favorite for both Greek and foreign sailboarders, and the sight of the multi-colored sails skimming the waves is endlessly captivating.

The small cove at the right-hand end of the beach is a good place to swim ,it is popular with many with-it nudists.

Kalafatis Beach is A very large, sandy beach with easy access, in the south-eastern part of the island. It is popular with sporty types, since here you can find all sports available on the island.

Panormos Beach is a large, sandy beach on the island's northern coast, 4,5 km from Chora

Beneath its parachute canopy, at its wooden tables, you'll meet the most beautiful and trendy people on the island in a totally relaxed holiday mood, where as renowned athletes with divine bodies complete on the beach volley arena.

Ornos Beach. One of the most "touristy" beaches in Mykonos. Large, sandy, with numerous bars, and tavernas. You will find umbrellas and sun beds at Ornos, but also boats going to Psarou, Elia, Agrari and Super Paradise.

The island has regular connection with the ports of Piraeus and Rafina. There is an airport connecting Mykonos with Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities in Greece. There are charter flights from all around the world during summer period.

Smugglers Cove Navagio

Smugglers Cove Navagio, meaning Shipwreck, is Zante’s most famous sight and one that frequently appears in travel brochures all over the world- with its magnificent white cliffs and clear turquoise waters creating a truly spectacular place. Located in the north west of the island, this splendid beach is a must see for any traveller to Zante. Accessible by boat trips from Cape Skinari and St Nikolas harbour, visiting this beach makes for a memorable experience and a chance to take some special photos

Blue Caves.

The blue caves are to be found at the very north of Zante, underneath Cape Skinari. The Caves were discovered in 1897 and are one of Zante’s best loved tourist spots. The caves have to be seen to be believed, showing a range of blue hues on the white rocks caused by reflections from the sea. The area is popular for snorkelling to see the wide range of marine life living there and any snorkeller will look remarkably like a Smurf- thanks to the reflections of the cave it will appear that they have blue skin!

Marathonisi.

Marathonisi is a small islet located in front of Keri Lake. The island is a nesting ground for the Caretta Caretta turtles. The island has a superb sandy beach perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the surrounding clear warm waters. Many people like to hire boat to reach Marathonisi, or alternatively there are organised boat trips available. A favourite spot for scuba divers, this island has much to offer and should not be missed.

Caretta - Caretta sea turtle The Caretta Caretta turtle is an endangered species and Zante is the most important breeding ground for the loggerhead turtles- which do not nest in any other European countries; only Greece. The beautiful Emerald green island Zakynthos, also called Zakinthos, Zante, Zacinto is the third largest of the Ionian Islands. It is also a separate peripheral unit of the Ionian Islands Periphery, and the only municipality of the peripheral unit. It covers an area of 410 km² (158 sq mi) and its coastline is roughly 123 km (76 mi) in length.

Historically Zakynthos was inhabited from the Neolithic Age, as some archaeological excavations have proved. The famous ancient Greek poet and writer, Homer, first mentioned the island in his masterpieces, the Iliad and the Odyssey, stating that the first inhabitants of it were the son of a legendary Arcadian King Dardanos of Troy called Zakynthos and his men and that they first came on the island around 1500-1600 BC.

The shape of Zakynthos is an irregular triangular with the northernmost side of the island going to the Cape Schinari and the southeastern part going to the Gulf of Laganas which is formed between two capes, the one of Marathias in the West and the other of Gerakas in the East.

Zante island has three distinct geographical areas: the north west is mountainous with quaint traditional mountain villages, the central region is a fertile plain rich with olive groves and vineyards and the south east is characterised by beautiful beaches. There is something for everyone on this floating island of paradise with numerous sandy beaches, mountain villages preserving the traditional Greek way of life, beautiful natural scenery, watersports and good quality restaurants, bars and nightclubs to more than cater for all your entertainment needs

There are more pine-covered mountains and hills in the north, but the centre is gentle and lush, richly planted with currant vines, olive trees, almonds and seasonal vegetables. There are dozens of beaches to choose from, sandy and sheltered with invitingly sparkling water. Flowers of every kind fill every available space, filling the air with the scent that so enraptured visitors of old.

With a sunny climate most of the year and good roads to facilitate exploring, Zakynthos lends itself to holiday - making in spring and fall as well as summer. Some of the best known summer resorts are Kalamaki, Argassi, Alykes, Tsilivi, Vassilikos, Keri and Volimes, while Laganas is the most famous of all. Its long beach and wide range of facilities attract thousands of tourists from May through October.

Santorini is perhaps the most fascinating and most talked about islandof Greece in the Aegean. The volcano is still active, and the last eruption was in 1950, causing an earthquake that destroyed many villages on the island. The island's official name is Thira and its main town, Fira, is also the capital of the Cyclades islands.

Oia Village

Oia, is one of the most beautiful villages of the island, carved out of the cliffs and clinging to the edge. The architecture is amazing and is highlighted by the stark white of the buildings and the contrasting colorful doors and window shutters. It has often been compared to the eagle's nest! Enjoy the panoramic view of caldera, the volcano, Thirassia Island, and the rest of Santorini looking back toward Fira.

Fira, Imerovigli and Firostefani

Fira is the capital of the island and the most important village. It is perched on the edge of an impressive cliff 260 m high and offers a great panorama over the submerged volcano.The main square of Fira (Platia Theotokopoulou) it is where all the locals meet. During the peak season the small narrow streets are crowed and are filled with all kinds of shops, jewelleries, café, restaurants, bars and night clubs
Immerovigli is a picturesque traditional village situated only 2 km away from the capital, Fira but is situated on a higher cliff. "VIGLA" means "day" so it got its name from this word. In front of the village is located an enormous rock called Skaros. Until 1800, Skaros was part of the land and had a castle on it where all the administrative offices of the island were located. The village was almost totally destroyed with the earthquake of 1956, and the cliff-edge houses were abandoned but a tourist trade started up again in the 1970s. Today Imerovigli is a beautiful and quiet village and very popular.
Between Fira and Imerovigli, one of the spots with the best view on the island. Even if officially considerated as a distinct village, Firostefani is the continuation of Fira.

Kamari and Perissa

The towns of Perissa and Kamari attract tourists to their black sand beaches
Kamari is well known for its black-sand-and-pebble beach. The car-free waterfront promenade located on a length of about one kilometers is filled, with cafes and restaurants. The tourists come mainly from Germany and England. Behind the capital, Kamari has the most llively nightlife on Santorini.
The resort is particularly suitable for tanning, bathing and sun bathing. Most tourists are families and couples spending a classic beach holiday
